I'm always thinking about ways to make life better for people and here are just a few of my thoughts on how people can improve their lives. This isn't in any particular order, they are all important, but I just wanted to share my thoughts in order to help others out. Some of these are Biblical and others are just from my own personal experiences, so lets get on with it...
1. Reduce your debt load. People who are tight on money usually worry about money and financial issues as quite often. Reduce your debt load as much as you can in order to reduce your stress levels. Being debt free offers you the ability to build wealth much faster and you can put away money for those emergencies that might send someone who is deep in debt into panic mode. I could write several blogs about this issue, but I want to keep this one brief. Check out www.daveramsey.com if you are really serious about wanting to get your finances in order, or talk to me and I can offer some advice.
2. Get active and stay active. Exercise not only keeps your body in shape but keeps your mind sharp as well. I personally gain a much greater sense of achievement when I'm working towards fitness goals each week. Exercise can be a great stress reliever in addition to burning those calories. I work out after work and if I go to the gym with something on my mind, I usually forget about it by the time I leave.
3. Don’t take life too seriously. It seems like there are a lot of uptight people in the world and they are just waiting to be offended. If this is you.. relax, the world isn’t out to get you! Obviously there is a time to be serious (preferably when you are at work) and there is a time to have fun, but don’t be serious all the time and don’t joke around too much either, unless you are comedian and it’s your job! The point I’m making here is, just relax and enjoy life, don’t always be on the look out for some way to get offended or upset.
4. Stay positive! Attitude makes so much difference in the world. Just look at the people who are getting promoted in your company. Are they a negative nelly always looking at the downside of things? I highly doubt it! People with positive attitudes can make a big difference in their environment. If you are constantly looking at the negative side of things, you’ll dwell on it. If you go into a situation thinking it will not be fun or just be boring, then most likely it will be. Attitude makes a difference, put on a positive one and see how much better your day is, and continue day after day.
5. Get Educated. You don’t have to go back to school to be educated, but you can if you really want to. What I’m talking about is, keeping your mind sharp with what’s going on around you. If there are certain things that interest you, educate yourself on it. I suggest doing some reading. Libraries are a great way to get a hold of books without having to buy them. Some people might think having a college degree is just enough and once they get that paper in hand, they can just forget about it. Wouldn’t you want to deal with someone who is educated in their field beyond just a college degree? If you are a Christian, how much time do you spend in the word or even a devotional book? If you are in the sales field, when was the last time you read about improving your sales or customer service? The more you know, the more you become an asset to the company you work for and for the people around you. You might not need the information you are learning right now for your current job, but it could put you in a position to get hired for the job you’ve been really wanting.
I have more to add for future blogs, so check back for more tips!

Honored
It's been a couple week's since it's release, but this should have given you all the time to go buy John Cheatem's new Album " In Your Will"
I just really wanted to thank John for writing the song " friend like you." the CD states it was dedicated to me. I will say I have never felt more honored in my entire life. Having such a great song written about me really is more of an honor to me than having my college degree or being promoted at work. Those things are awesome and I wouldn't give them back, but seriously having a song written about me, that's just awesome. Plus I say that music is timeless. How many of our parents listen to songs that they loved when they were young? Heck, I go back and listen to the music I listened to when I was in high school. Music stays with you, it reminds you of the good times you had when you were listening to it, it plays in your head during a boring day at work, it can lift your spirits when you are down. I really love music and to have my best friend be such a talented musician and to write me a song, that's just beyond cool! I'm not sure if many people even read this blog, but I just wanted to let everyone know how thankful I am for such an honor!!

Insert Bold Statement Here
I had some free time tonight and a lot on my mind so I thought this would be an ideal time to do some blogging.
I think that God has me read or listen to things that just don't sit right with me so I'll dig deeper into his word. Sometimes Christians can be very quick to point out each other's flaws or get into a debate. I'm not saying I've never done that, but when times like that come I need to check myself (before I wreck myself.) I listen to several lessons and sermons through out the week via Podcast, so I can learn more about the bible and further equip myself for God's use. NOT so I can be arrogant and engage with debates with other Christians or non-Christians who I have no interest in sharing the gospel with.
The point is.. we need to be getting into the word and finding out what God says. Don't pick a couple verses out of context and manipulate God's word into the point you are trying to make. We need to use our online resources and our personal interactions to be sharing the Gospel of Christ, not spreading our own personal opinion.
